Mr. Elvin Kelly Carter age 80 was summoned by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 27, 2021 into eternal rest.  Elvin was born on December 31, 1940 to Martha Green Carter and Alfred Carter

Elvin enjoyed spending his time painting and drawing, he was an artist at heart.  He also enjoyed playing his electric guitar.  Elvin was a carpenter by trade and loved upgrading and remodeling homes.  Mr. Carter also served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to Elvin’s parents he was preceded in death by one son Anthony D Carter and his brother William Carter.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and dedicated wife, Doris Wells Carter, his children, Calvin Carter (Ashley), and La Vera C. Brown. Two step children Malcolm Pitt(Kristie) and Crystal Pitt, three grandchildren, Chantay Green, Temeka Brown and Calvin D. Carter II; four great grandchildren,Jamal, Gabriel and twins, Jayden and Jaylen; four step grandchildren, Shawn Newton, Shakurra Simmons, Jasmine and Nya Pitt; one step great granddaughter, Ryan one brother Kenneth Carter (Hazel) and one sister Dorothy Carter Turner with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and, special friend, Eric Walker with many dear friends.
