Ms. Elsie Virginia Richardson was born August 26, 1934 in Alton, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Walter Richardson and Carrie Crowder Richardson Green. Elsie whom was affectionately called “Sister” was born with a disability that kept her from attending school and taking care of herself without help. “Sister” was well loved by her family and received the best of care down through the years. Her immediate family preceded her in death, but she was blessed to have a first cousin, Carrie Enoch and her husband William to bring Elsie into their home and care for her for twenty years. As Elsie’s health declined, Carrie had to make the decision to place “Sister” in Bountiful Blessings Family Care Home where she received care for over three years, as her health continued to decline, she then moved to White Oak Manor Nursing Facility. On June 10, 2020 “Sister” transitioned at the hospice home from labor to reward.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walter and Cliff and sister, Barbara Nelson.
“Sister” leaves to cherish her memories her nieces, Carrie Ann Nelson-Price (John) and Carrie Enoch (William); and a host of other cousins, family and friends.
We loved you Elsie “Sister” and hated to see you go, but you are now in the presence of the Lord, and all is well……Your Family
