Ms. Elsie Mae Ingram 80, of Burlington, North Carolina was born in Caswell County, North Carolina to the late John Wesley Ingram and the late Sallie Ledora Ingram on September 25, 1943. She was known to everyone as “Boot”.
She was the third of ten children. She enjoyed spending time with her family on the front porch. She was known for her amazing cooking skills and baking pies. She worked many years at B&J Restaurant and then at Elon University until her retirement. She touched the hearts of many people.
Elsie will forever be remembered by her loving and devoted children, son, Bruce Ingram; daughters, Robin Wheeler (Ben), Teresa Crews (Curtis); two sisters, Sallie I Burnette, Lynda Oliver (Dwight), four brothers, Wesley Ingram (Naomi), William T. Ingram (Mary), David Ingram (Lynn), and Billy Ray Ingram. Grandchildren, Angela, Sheena, Rodney, Chantel, Ryan, Brandon and Benita; great grandchildren, Dontia, Malachi, Nyia, Neveah, Trae, Lee, Elias, Amiya, Jayce, Zayden, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved as her own.
We the Ingram family would like to thank everyone for the kindness and love they have shown during the bereavement of our loved one. Thanks to Cone Health Cancer Center and Hospice of Burlington for their service. We would also like to thank Dr. Pandit and Dr. Brahmanday for their excellent care of our mother.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sallie Ingram; three sisters, Roberta Tate, Ollie Katherine Ingram and Regina Hester.
