Elizabeth Pearl (Teel) Pinnix

Elizabeth Pearl Teel Pinnix age 94, of the Green Level Community was born July 27, 1927 in Alamance County North Carolina. “Liz” Teel Pinnix sailed into the heavenly sunset early Friday morning on July 30, 2021. Her family lineage includes Teel, Florence, Anderson, Sellars and Pettiford.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Albert “Big Boy” Pinnix of Caswell County, her eldest son John Avis Pinnix, her eldest grandson Tony Bernard Crisp and her parents Charlie Bethel and Callie Sellars Teel: her siblings; John D. Teel, Myrtle Jones, Walter Teel, Ida Mae Warren, Rosie Evans and Savannah Florence. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her seven children; Helen Mae Crisp (Sam) of Yanceyville, NC; Otis Odell “Pete” Pinnix of the home; Elizabeth Faye Pinnix of Winston Salem, NC; Callie Sue Degraffenreidt (Nate) of Greensboro, NC; Dennis Lee Pinnix of Charlotte, NC; Christopher Kim Pinnix of Graham, NC, and Charles Alfonso Pinnix of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

The family’s future generations include four grandchildren: Gabrielle Christina Pinnix of Graham, NC; Alexandra LaCoya Pinnix of Tallahassee, FL; Nathaniel Avis Lee Degraffenreidt II of Greensboro, NC and Marco Vinson of Hillsborough, NC.

Liz leaves loving and lasting memories to her surviving siblings: Ruth Mae Harris, Frances Louise Evans and Harry Truman Teel (Agnes) all of Burlington, North Carolina as well as a host of nieces & nephews and relatives from the Teel, Florence, Anderson, Sellars and Pettiford lineage as well as many friends.
