Elijah Samuel Williamson was born in Caswell County, North Carolina to Jimmie Williamson and Beulah Stadler Williamson on May 26, 1933. Following period of declining health, he peacefully passed into eternal life on January 1, 2023. He was educated in the Caswell County School System. He met and married the love of his life Verilea Sellars Williamson and the two have spent over six decades of love. He was the "GOAT" Greatest of All Time Concrete Finishers having worked for Chandler Concrete for many years as well as a private concrete contractor.
Spiritually, he was a devoted and dedicated member of Stoney Creek African Methodist Episcopal Church for a number of years. During his tenure he served as a faithful Trustee. He was indeed a family man and was the epitome and exemplification of his trade...concrete, stable and lasting. In his spare time he enjoyed to sowing some of the most beautiful turnip green patches, watching a good baseball game and playing with his great-grand baby.
He leaves loving and lasting memories to his wife: Verilea S. Williamson; two loving daughters: Karen Annette Williamson and Vickie Williamson Patrick (Robert); two granddaughters: Raven Patrick and Elisa Patrick; great-granddaughter: Alaiya Oliver: three sisters: Sadie W. Warren, Annie W. Jones and Beulah W. Walker (Foster). Elijah will be also cherished by his several nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter: Raelynn Oliver; a niece Glenda Rogers who was like a daughter, and six siblings: Bobby Williamson, James Williamson, Dorothy W. Johnson, Fannie W. Copeland, Irene W. Lee and Vergie W. Meeks.
