Mr. Edward Keith Parker, fondly known as “Keith”, was born February 18, 1959 in Alamance County and peacefully passed away April 27, 2019 at his home in Graham, NC.
Keith was the son of Ms. Addie Parker and Mr. William “Bill” Kimber, who survives. He was married to Rhonda K. Parker, who was a faithful and devoted wife for 35 years. From their union one son, Bradford “Brad” Keith Parker, was born. Brad was Keith’s pride and he instilled in him a strong legacy to follow. He also served as a father figure to his “son-like”, Mr. Kamari Harris, whom he fondly loved and devoted quality time.
Keith was a graduate of Eastern Alamance High School class of 1977 and graduated from North Carolina A & T State University in 1981. He was a proud “Aggie” and showed his “Aggie Pride” with a huge tailgate celebration during homecomings.
Keith worked for various companies over the years - SCI Systems as a Technology Supervisor for 12 years; Mr. Rooter as an Office Manager and Plumber Apprentice for many years; Sears Roebuck and Company in Loss & Prevention for 20 years; and finally, becoming a sole proprietor of his company Services Unlimited, LLC.
When Keith was not working, which was rarely, he was spending quality time with his family – wife, son, mother, and extended family. He enjoyed playing golf, volunteering with various sports organizations, and especially supporting his sons – Brad and Kamari.
Keith was a hard worker and could do anything and would help anyone. He meticulously performed his work with diligence, quality, and skill. He was the most loving, kind hearted, and giving man you would ever meet. He always showed respect to everyone he met and he never met a stranger.
He was especially fond of the Graham High School Booster Club. Keith volunteered with Graham Booster Club while Brad was playing sports, serving as President, and even after Brad’s graduation continued to volunteer and support Graham sports, up to his death.
Keith affirmed his relationship with the Lord by being baptized in February 2019 and becoming a member of Martin’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Rhonda Parker, of the home; one son, Brad of Whitsett, NC; mother, Addie Parker of Burlington, NC; father, Bill Kimber of Green Level, NC; one sister, Sharon Parker Glover (Kemp) of Graham, NC; and a host of relatives and friends.
