Earnestine "Judy" White Obituary

Earnestine “Judy” Betty McCollum White was born on May 8th, 1945, to the late Levorgia Jackson, Jr. and the late Nadine McCollum Jackson. Judy, who was primarily raised by her grandmother Eliza Roberts McCollum, was educated in Alamance County, and attended Jordan Sellars High School.

In 1971 Judy married Jerry Warren White and to this union, their one and only child, Jeron Christopher White was born.

Before retiring in 2007, Judy was employed at Kayser Roth, Flint Hosiery and Best Western Hotels.

Judy, with her contagious smile, never met a stranger. She was the light that filled any room.   Judy loved being outdoors, playing and watching softball.  Exercising and dancing were also among her favorite ways to celebrate life.

Judy loved her family.  But most importantly, Judy loved the Lord.  Quietly, she passed away at her residence on September 14, 2022.

Left to cherish her memory are husband Jerry W. White; loving and devoted son Jeron C. White (Tajuana), two grandsons, Jeron “Scooter” White, Jr and Joshua P. White; one sister Brenda Jackson and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Levorgia and Nadine Jackson; brother George “Foye” McCollum; sister, Jenn Ann Herbin and an aunt who was like a sister to her, Patsy Valines.

“In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will fill”

“Her Journey’s Just Begun”

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness, can really pass away. And think of her as living, in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
