David Woods of 2973 Worth Lane Haw River NC was born April 26, 1934 in rural Alamance County, North Carolina to Simpson "Tuster" Woods and Adel Graves Foust. Following a period of declining health, while surrounded by his loving family, he peacefully transitioned into eternal life on August 29, 2022 in his home. Being a Alamance County native for the majority of his life, he was employed for many years with GKN Automotive and Associate Transport for many years. He was married to Lillian Inez Worth Woods on February 12, 1957. The two shared more than 56 years together raising their family with love and devotion until her passing on November 7, 2010.
In his times of leisure he loved riding motorcycles fishing and hunting. And it could be said that he was an exotic hunter because he especially like to hunt for frogs and squirrels. He loved watching television which included wrestling and sci-fi movies which gave him many hours of enjoyment. He always was donned with a smile on his face and he loved to meet new people. It goes without mentioning that he loved his family and his coworkers on every job that he ever worked.
He leaves loving and lasting memories to his six children: Gerald Keith Worth and his wife Shirley; David Wayne Woods and his wife Lorine; Greta Woods Thomas, Lorie Woods Baldwin and her husband Larry, Norma Jean Woods and Beverly Woods Coletrane; a sister Nellie Mae Foust; six grand children Tracy Snipes, Culeasha Winstead, Brandon Woods, Crystal Woods, Ashley Coletrane and Vince Woods; eight great grandchildren: Trey, Esabella "Trinity", Dialyn, Dorion, Davian, Gianna, Aaliyah and Alaysia; one great great grandchild, Cameron David,. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and is Associate Transport and GKN Automotive work families.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Woods and one sister Annie Marie Foust White.
