Darlene Miles Woods was born in Alamance County to Roy Lee Miles and Mabel Slade Miles. She was educated in the Alamance County School System. Dee as she was known by some, was a very loving and kind person.
Glen Raven Mills (total of 35 years) was her initial place of employment. After marrying Daryl Woods, she traveled with him during his Long Distance Trucking career. There after, she received her General Education Diploma (GED) and her Certified Nursing Assistance Certificate (CNA) and moved her employment to Alamance Healthcare in 2004 and later Brookdale in 2005. While working at Brookdale, she became a Residential Care Coordinator and Medtech in Burlington, North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish a memory her husband Daryl Woods of 35 years of the home; daughters: Anitha Turner, April Turner and a son Darren Turner all of Burlington, North Carolina; sisters: Daisy Leath, Willie Mae Wilkins and her husband Bob of Green Level, North Carolina, Norma Candy and her husband Willie of New York, Patty Long of Graham, North Carolina, Priscilla Woods of Burlington, North Carolina; brothers: Roy Lee Miles, Jr., Rev. Monroe Miles and his wife Rev. Diane, Donnell Miles and his wife Tonya all Burlington, North Carolina and Gregory Miles of Green Level, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews relatives and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Roy Lee Miles, Sr. and Mabel Slade Miles and a sister Shirley Evans.
