Immeasurable beauty radiated her soul, character and personality. Mrs. Cora Mae Jeffries Pinnix was dear to all and left a legacy to be emulated.
Cora Mae was born in Alamance County, NC on February 7, 1935 to the late Mr. Joe Jeffries, Jr. and the late Mrs. Ruthie L. Williamson Jeffries. She departed this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Graham, N.C.
Mrs. Cora Mae graduated from Jordan Sellars High School in the class of 1953. For many years she worked in the Textile Industry. After her retirement, she enjoyed working as a childcare provider, showering each child with love. She was a lifelong member of the Morgantown community and joined Morgantown Baptist Church at an early age. She had a heart to serve the Lord in any capacity where and when she was needed. She was honored as “Mother of the Church” and faithfully served many years as a member of the Senior Choir, Usher Board, Helping Hands/Cleaning and the Kitchen Committees. Mother Cora loved cooking and baking for her family’s enjoyment.
She leaves to cherish with loving memories, her daughter and son-in-law, Connell Pinnix Burnette (Robert), one granddaughter, Robyn Burnette Gomes (Tony) and a beloved great-grandson, Isaiah Anthony Gomes. Two sisters, Ms. Doris Jeffries and Mrs. JoLouise Jeffries Satterfield (Nathaniel) of Burlington, N.C., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
