Charlie James Scoggins was born in Person County, North Carolina to Levy Scoggins and Lillie Pearl Torain Scoggins on May 19, 1937. Following failing health, he departed this earthly life on July 14, 2021 while under the care of the staff of Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a graduate of Central High School, Hillsborough, North Carolina with the class of 1956. He met the love of his life, Georgia Mae Vincent and the two were united in Holy Matrimony in 1960. They were blessed with a daughter, Cesiely and she returned love to them in many ways especially with the birth of her two children, Charntera and Charntol.
Charlie worked as a mechanic for several years with Inter Bake while he and his family lived in Jersey. Upon their return to North Carolina, he became a Van Driver with Alamance Transportation Service. He was a member and served as a Trustee with Maple Grove Baptist Church.
He leaves loving and lasting memories to his loving daughter Cesiely S. Ferguson and her children, Charntera Ferguson and Charntol Ferguson; his last surviving sister Mary S. Pulliam; brother-in-law: Charles Arch Vincent and his wife Juanita as well as several nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to his beloved Georgia and his dear parents, he now joins his brothers: Nathaniel Scoggins and June Scoggins
