Brenda (Ferguson) Clinkscales

Brenda Ferguson Clinkscales of Graham,N.C. peacefully transitioned on February 12th, 2021 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Center. 

Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt “Bren,” and friend graced the world with her kind presence on February 25th, 1946,  born to Lillie Ferguson and William Wilbert Turner, both deceased. Brenda was married to the late Kye Clinkscales Jr. , and is also preceded in death by her sister Yvonne Gray. 

She attended Jordan Sellars High School and worked many years at LabCorp. Religion was integral in Brenda’s life, leading her to take on an active role as a teacher at children’s church services. She loved to read, watch action movies, and was an avid football fan. Brenda, who was the matriarch of her family, instilled family values in her loved ones and always valued the time spent with them.

Brenda is survived by her brother William Turner Jr.;  three children: Glenda Dennis (Howard), William Clinkscales, and Shelia Clinkscales; four grandchildren: Jessica Clinkscales, Christoper Moore, Kendra Edwards, and Aaliyah Springfield; one great-grandchild: Khyree Lee Jr.;  her best friend Carrie Griffis; and her dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Brenda positively impacted the lives of all she interacted with and she will forever be loved, remembered, and missed
