Bobby Lee Vanhook

Mr. Bobby Lee Vanhook transitioned on November 22, 2021 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.  Bobby was born January 23, 1953 in Caswell County to Mr. H.E Vanhook and Mrs. Sallie Lou Stephens Vanhook.  

Bobby was employed with UPS and was a member of Green Level Christian Church.  He was married to the late Mrs. Emma Torain Vanhook and to this union three children were born, Chris Vanhook, Kathy Vanhook and Chandra Vanhook.  

Bobby was a great father and provider for his family.  He enjoyed fishing, debating his points, reading and the NC State Wolfpack.  Bobby loved the soulful sounds of Sam Cooke.

His life and legacy will be forever cherished by his son, Chris Vanhook (Thyda), Kathy Vanhook Tyler (Basim) and Chandra Vanhook; brothers, Melvin O. Vanhook, and Ronnie Vanhook; sisters, Armellia White (David), Jeanette Jeffries and Linda Jones(Grelan); 5 grandchildren, Dominic Prince, Giana Tyler, Bryce Tyler, Lennox Vanhook and Olivia Vanhook with a host of nieces & nephews other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathaniel Vanhook and Kenneth Ray Vanhook; one nephew, Michael White and a brother-in-law, Andrea Jeffries.
