Betty Lucille (Glass) Johnson

Mrs. Betty Glass Johnson also known as "BC" was born to Harold Glass and Elma Richmond Glass on November 3, 1934 in Person County, North Carolina.

She loved her family dearly and loved talking about the Lord.  She was a retired worker from Glen Raven Mills.  Betty is a strong and faithful member of Morgantown Baptist Church, where before her illness she served as Mother of the Church, secretary of the Morgantown Senior Choir, Member of Pastors Aide, Kitchen Committee and Usher Board.

She was called home to glory on Sunday August 20, 2023, after many years of failing health.  She was 88 years of age.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elma Richmond Glass, her spouse of 52 years, Ira K. Johnson, two sons, Kenneth Johnson and Ernest Johnson, one daughter, Mary Dobbins; six siblings, W.C Glass, Rovester Glass, Lewis Glass, Annie Lee Glass, Dolly Jones and Evelyn Johnson.

Grieved beyond expression are her girls, Barbara Moore (Wayne), Norma Thompson, Zelda Faye Johnson and Carolina Johnson; 9 grandchildren, Barry Shaw (Tynica), D'Marcus Long, Ashley Johnson, Kenesha Johnson, Shannon Pinnix, Jr. Moye, Shnika Jordan, and Larry Jordan along with 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Ethel Jane McNair and Dot Westmoreland; sister in law: Mae Glass of Baltimore, MD; special niece, Joyce Johnson of Baltimore Maryland and a host of other nieces, nephews along with dear and devoted friends.
