Ms. Ayana Chantell Snipes of 2862 Springfield Dr. Elon transitioned from labor to reward on March 25, 2020 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. Ayana was born in Rockingham County on December 16, 1984. She was a 2003 graduate of Western Alamance High School. While in high school she was a member of the track team and basketball team but her favorite pastime was dancing. Ayana was a joy to all that knew her, even with all she was going through due to her health she wasted no time in making the people she loved feel love. Her smile and energy will be forever cherished by those that loved her.
Ayana was loved by so many, especially her parents, James and Beverly J. Snipes, J. Lafayette "Pookie" Brown Jr. (Urana), and the late Cynthia Cobb; grandparents, James L. Brown Sr., Denise Brown, Betty Jeffries Brown, Jacqueline Cobb and the late Rayfield Cobb; siblings, Shannon Snipes, Domineek Brown, Jaylaa C. Stewart, Shontae Totten, Keishawn Torain and Darrius Totten; other special people in her life such as, Steven Crisp, Amber Mize, Destiny Anderson, Ashley Vincent and Nick Vincent along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
