As believers we know that God only takes the best to give them rest from the pain and suffering they may endure on earth, so on July 28, 2020 he did just that when he called Aurelia Donnita Wilson Johnson, lovingly known to us as “Sissy” or “AJ” to her coworkers and “Moma” to the love of her life.
“Sissy” is the daughter of Mr. Rufus Wilson Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy Long Wilson both of Burlington. She was born in Amityville NY and there she was educated in the Amityville Memorial High School where with no surprise she was the 1983 Class Homecoming Queen. “Sissy” furthered her education at the State University of New York College at Old Westbury graduating in 1990. She was employed at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center working in Customer Service. “Sissy” was a past member of Ebenezer UCC and current member of Union Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
The life and legacy of Aurelia Wilson Johnson will be forever remembered and cherished by her son, Marshall “TJ” Johnson, Jr., her parents, Rufus Wilson Sr. and Dorothy L. Wilson, sister, Marcy Wilson, brothers, Ronnie Wilson and Rufus Wilson Jr., nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Aurelia was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Long Stephens.
