Anthony "Ant" Long

Anthony Long age 51 of Burlington, NC transitioned on Sunday morning July 10, 2022 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.  Anthony was born July 22, 1970 in Alamance County to Mr. Claude Norman and the late Ms. Barbara Long.  He graduated from Walter Williams High School in 1988.  After the death of his mother he was loved and cherished by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hallie Mae Long along with his aunts and uncles.

"Ant" as he was affectionately called was a true believer of  Mark 12:31 when Jesus said "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  There is none other commandment greater than these."  Anthony had a heart of gold and he loved deeply.  His smile and kinds ways will be forever cherished and missed by all that knew him.

His life and legacy will be remembered by his father, Claude Norman of New York, NY, and in his words "the best thing that every happen to him", his son, Anthony J. Long (Heather) of Raleigh.  "Ant" was very excited about the arrival of his first grandson.  "Ant" was fortunate to have his aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
