May 13, 1958 was a glorious day for Alonzo Lincoln Harvey, Sr. and Ida Mae Harvey. They had experienced life and love together along with their daughter Janice however on this day, they were blessed with their son whom they named Alonzo Lincoln Harvey Jr. Little Lonnie was born in Alamance county and attended the Alamance County school system and was a 1976 of Walter M. Williams High School following high school Lonnie or Little Lonnie as he was known by close relatives and friends began to work and shadow alocal entrepreneur, Mr. Richard B. Moore of R.B. Moore Masonry Co. Lonnie began and developed a love for the business of brick masonry and subsequently began his own company Harvey's Masonry. Lonnie was able to employ several of his friends and classmates. Lonnie was a jovial and loving person who never met a stranger. His love and devotion for his trade will never be matched.
Lonnie is survived by his wife Teresa Richmond Harvey; his sister Janice Harvey McCandies; two nephews: Orlando A. McCandies and Ralph A. McCandies, Sr and his wife LaKeisha.; two great nephews: Seth McCandies and Ralph A. McCandies, II; step-mother: Donald V. Harvey; an aunt Betty Harvey; The "Boys" as well as many other cousins and friends.
