Funeral services for Ms. Ruby Cooper will be conducted on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from the sanctuary of Johnson’s Chapel AME Church at 1:00pm. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the services and all other times they will be at 5025 Governor Martin St., Efland.
Ruby was born on June 30, 1933 in Sedalia, NC to the late James Sanders Cooper and Onie Crisp Cooper Corbett Thomas. She was a member of Johnson’s Chapel AME Church. Survivors include: a daughter; Sonya Latta-Walton (Marvin); two grandsons: Vance Maurice Riley, Jr. (Ashley) and Keith Iziah Riley; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Carmen; two sisters Emma Cooper Richards and Shirley Cooper Riley ; a brother: Daniel Lee Corbett (Sabrina); sisters-in-Law, Louise Latta, Flossie Latta, and Lillian Latta; brothers-in-law, Eugene Clifton Latta, Clyde Miles, and Sterling Richards, Clarence Richards and special siblings, Margaret Jean Wright, Barbara Fearrington (K.C.) and several nieces & nephews other relatives and friends. She now joins her parents and two sisters: Onie Louise Richards and Patricia Ann Miles.
