Reginald Hester

Mr. Reginald “Reggie” Hester, age 64 of 510 E. Webb St. Mebane transitioned on June 5, 2019 at Cone Health, ARMC.  

“Reggie” was born on February 4, 1955 in Orange County to William Hester and Ethel Thompson Hester.

“Reggie” worked as a driver for Wicker Trucking Company and Burlington Industries during his earlier years of good health.  He was a member of Mebane First Baptist Church, where at times you could find him standing at the door or singing in the male chorus, with that bright smile, looking sharp from head to toe.  “Reggie” loved to fish, talk and spend time with his grandson.

“Reggie” was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia Springfield Hester, his brothers, William, Wayne and Haywood.

He is survived by his daughter Betina Holman, step-daughter, Tressie Springfield; grandsons, William Hester Holman and Thomas Cade; granddaughters, Porsche Cade and Pat Walters; great granddaughter, Camlya Cade one sister, Eva Hester; three aunts, Mary Williams, Betty Campbell, Virginia Ross (Walter); three uncles, Robert Cochrane, Harvey Fuller and Ervin Hester, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
