Mr. Ralph McCandies, Jr., 69 of 1233 Avondale Dr. transitioned at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center on January 5, 2018.  

            He was born the son of Ralph McCandies, Sr. (deceased) and Mamie Miles McCandies.  He was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and was a Lineman with Duke Energy.  He was a devoted member of Martin’s Chapel Baptist Church serving as a Trustee. 

            Survivors include: his wife: Janice Harvey McCandies; three sons: Orlanda A. McCandies “Poncho”, Ralph A. McCandies “Chico” (LaKeisha) and Jeffrey Thompson (LaTasha); 7 grandchildren: his mother: Mamie Miles McCandies; 5 siblings: Patricia M. Womack, Kenneth McCandies, Mary McCandies Jenkins (Milton), Michael McCandies and Timothy McCandies (Sironia).

            He was preceded in death by three brothers: Ricky L. McCandies, Kerry L. McCandies and Mark A. McCandies.
