Michael Angelo McCollum

Mr. Michael Angelo McCollum of 2820 McKinney St. transitioned on June 26, 2019 at Duke University Medical Center.

Michael is the son of Mrs. Patsy McCollum Valines, he was born in Alamance County, NC and was a graduate of Walter Williams High School.  He was 

employed at Cable Assembly and attended Trinity Worship Center.

Michael loved to make people smile and he enjoyed singing, watching sports, especially basketball and having a good time, just enjoying life.  

 In addition to his mother, Michael was reared and loved by his grandparents, Liza Roberts McCollum and George McCollum along with his step father, James "Snoop" Valines all deceased.

His life and legacy will be forever cherished in the heart of his wife, Renee D. McCollum of the home, his mother, a son, Antonio Kirkpatrick, daughters, LaKeisha R. Wongwon and Syretta King, brother, Barry Valines (Elizabeth) and sister, Jennifer Valines; 5 grandchildren, Alona Kirkpatrick, D'twon James, Travelle Hawkins, Malik King and Janiah King; one great grandson, Davarre James; stepchildren; James Hunt Jr., Chaz Hunt, Cavario Hunter Jr., Cindy Brown and Jasmine Tate; step grandmother, Judy Valines; 13 step grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Kiwana L. Salas.
