Mary Ella (Turner) Talley

Mrs. Mary Ella Turner Talley was born the daughter of Herman Theodore Turner and Maggie Ann Bradsher Turner on October 2, 1939 in Person County.  Her gracefully life came to a close, surrounded by her loved ones on December 31, 2018 at the Adorable Senior Care Facility of Hillsborough, North Carolina.  

She was educated at Jordan Sellars High School and was a Chef with the Cutting Board.  Mary was a devoted member of Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a Deaconess and in several other capacities.  She had a style and grace that was second to none.  Fraternally, Mary was a member of St. Anita Maria Order of the Eastern Star PHA Chapter #622, The Golden Circle, Daughters of Isis El Jebel Court #48.    

She is survived by her loving children: Matthew T. Turner (Pastor Bernice) and Veronica Slade Day (Alonzo Cribbs); several loving and dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother James Turner (Inez), Curtis Fuller and Otis Blackwell, Sr. and many dear loving nieces & nephews, cousins and dear friends.  

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Luther Turner, Sr. and Wallace Andrew Turner, Sr.
