Julius "Boss Man" Harrelson

Julius Harrelson, fondly known as “Doc” or “Bossman”, was
born February 24, 1956 in Caswell County, North Carolina to the
late Hubert Ynester Harrelson and the late Lucille Bradsher
Harrelson.
He attended Caswell County Training and Pleasant Grove
Elementary Schools and was an Eastern Alamance High School
graduate (Class of 1974) where his love of basketball really
began. He also attended Jefferson College in Greensboro, NC
and later joined the U.S, Marine Corps where he proudly served
and received an honorable discharge. He would later gain
employment with GKN in Mebane, NC in 2010 where he worked
until his health declined.
He had professed his belief in Jesus Christ and was looking
forward to joining with a church family.
On October 20, 2017 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center
of Alamance-Caswell he made his transition to his new home. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
daughter, Olivia and his brother, David Lee Harrelson.
He leaves loving memories to his sister, Lena Harrelson
Burnette; three brothers: Sidney (“Rooster”) Corbett, Hubert
Wesley Harrelson (wife, Judy) and Gathern “Duke” Harrelson;
four aunts, one great aunt: Hassie Torain; one uncle, four nieces:
Regina Burnette, Keisha Rogers, Verlisha Harrelson and Dorian
H. Huffines; two nephews: Heath Harrelson and Rodney
Burnette (wife, Alecia) and a host of great nieces, great
nephews, cousins and friends.
