Mr. John Henry Tapp, Jr., 95 of 1209 Whitsett St. transitioned on March 17, 2017 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center.  He was the son of the late Mr. John H. Tapp, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lillian Valines Tapp and was married to the late Mrs. Bertha Mae Evans Tapp.   He was a WWII veteran.

Survivors include his three children: John Alvis Tapp (Teresa), Bobby L. Tapp, Sr. (Brenda) and Sharon Tapp; a brother: Oddie Tapp; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1:00pm First Baptist Church with the family greeting friends thirty minutes prior to the services.  Interment will follow the services in the Legion Section of North Lawn Cemetery.  Public viewing will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1-9pm.
