On Sunday, September 23, 2018, Mrs. Janie Lou Richmond Love went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of Roena Richmond Stephens and James Henry Johnson, Sr., both deceased. She was born in Caswell County, North Carolina on September 17, 1940.
Janie Lou attended and graduated from Caswell County Training School in 1959. In addition, she attended Alamance Community College.
Janie Lou was employed in the Textile Manufacturing Industry prior to retirement.
She was a member of Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ushers Ministry as well as the Christian Education and Outreach Ministries.
Janie Lou loved to cook and can. She will truly be missed by her many friends and family. She was a gift to all who knew her.
Janie Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband: William W. Love, Sr.; son Ronnie Love and a brother, James Henry Johnson, Jr.
Remembering her with love are her: six siblings: McArthur Richmond (Delois), Bobby Richmond, Josie Richmond, Gloria J. Long, Connie Currie and Allen Johnson; two step-children: William W. Love, Jr. and Sheila Love Sawyer (Joseph); four step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and many special relatives and friends.
