James Donnell Williamson fondly known as “Jump-Judy” was born May 19, 1933 in Guilford County, North Carolina to the late Nathaniel & Evannar Baynes Williamson.
Donnell loved to cook, fish and hunt. He was well known for his stew, he would cook a huge pot and give it out by the pints within his neighborhood.
Also known as, “Big-Daddy” to his family and everyone. He played a huge part in all the neighborhood children’s upbringing. He was a stern disciplinarian, a band leader, social butterfly but most of all he was a good husband, wonderful father and the ideal role model.
He is survived by his wife: Allie Mae Guye Williamson; 10 children: Donnie Wiliamson (Melissa), James C. Williamson, Rodney Williamson, Jermaine Williamson, Barbara W. Johnson (Johnny), Alice W. Rone, Evelyn W. Neal (Donnell), Sandra F. Williamson, Glenda Manning (Derrick) and Vonda Williamson; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
On April 3, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family, he exchanged time for eternity and was welcomed by the Master’s embrace. He joins his parents and siblings: Marvin Williamson, Nathan Williamson, Isabel W. Williamson, Rebecca W. Hayes and Gwendolyn W. Crutchfield…. what a glorious reunion.
