Deacon James Irvin Tyner 68, of 1747 Longshadow Dr. transitioned on September 18, 2017 at Cone-Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of James C. Tyner and Mamie Haith Tyner both deceased and was preceded in death by a brother Johnnie Tyner.

Survivors include: his daughter: Wendy Tyner Spruill (Vincent); a sister: Laura T. Wright (Raymond); fiancé: Edna Thorpe; an aunt: Lennie Coble; 3 grandchildren, Kendrick Robinson, Kya Ross and Vanessa Spruill and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at the home of his daughter Wendy,  902 Beech Glen Dr. Mebane, NC at other times.
