Mr. James Pinnix, 84 of 224 School Street, transitioned at Cone Health-Alamance Regional Medical Center.

He was born the son of Allen Pinnix, Sr. and Beatrice Corbett Pinnix, both deceased and the husband of Elmira Jeffers Pinnix. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Glen Raven First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife Elmira J. Pinnix; four children: James F. Pinnix (Nickie), Gregory L. Pinnix (Paula), LoRita K. Pinnix and Charita P. Reaves (Michael); 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a brother Joseph A. Pinnix.

He was preceded in death by two children: Jeffrey Pinnix and Anita Pinnix and two siblings Virginia P. Cobb and Allen Pinnix, Jr.
