On November 16, 1949, all of our lives were changed.  We were blessed to have come into this world, a husband, father grandfather, brother and friend in the likeness of James Haywood Noble.

James was born in Pittsylvania, County, Virginia to Harry Linwood Noble and Lassie Sue Clark Noble, both deceased.  He was a graduate of Caswell County High School and later attend Alamance Community College to gain more knowledge.  He was employed for several years as a machinist with Sandvik in Mebane until his health required his retirement.  One who was always busy, he was a limousine driver for several years and later began working with Sharpe Funeral Home, Inc.  It was with Sharpe, Noble could be seen driving the cars, answering the phones or saying something to bring joy to a family who was in need of cheering.  His infectious laugh, could brighten any dark situation. 

Noble loved several things in life.  First, he loved God and his family dearly.  He loved golfing, driving in his big red truck, Lowe’s, Holly Hill Mall, Waffle House on 54, Surfside and its members, Augusta Lodge and his beloved Sharpe Funeral Home, Inc. Most of all he knew undoubtedly that he was loved by many.

He is survived by his devoted and faithful wife Martha B. Noble; son: Brian H. Noble; daughter Jo Livane Brooks; 5 grandchildren: Jaylin, Tristian, McKensie, Madison and Moriah; three siblings: Eddie Noble, Thomas Noble and Debra Noble McCullon (James); his best friend: Horace “Lil Bro” Turner (Margaret), nieces, nephews, in-laws other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Linwood Noble.    

As our lives changed once, it changed again on October 23, 2017, for this is the day our FRIEND, James H. Noble exchanged time for eternity.  Rest well Noble.
