Jacklyn Lee Tate (Jackie), daughter of the late James Tate and Emma Shoffner Tate was born April 7, 1947 in Mebane, NC. She departed this life on Saturday, November 3, 2018.
Jacklyn graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T) where she also played basketball.
Jacklyn was a very hard and dedicated worker she was employed with JFK Towers Retirement Home for over 20 years. There she formed a great passion to love and care for elderly people. She loved to thrift shop, interior decorate and playing bingo.
Jacklyn like her neice, Felecia, we will keep them in our hearts forever because their love belongs to us all.
Jacklyn is survived by her son Charles John Pace of Bahama, NC, two brothers Joseph Tate of Graham, NC and John Tate of Mebane, NC, four neices; Carol Elizabeth McAdoo of Mebane, NC, Sherrie Gwenette McClain of Mebane, NC, Cynthia Annette Mebane of Wilson, NC, Nora Estelle McAdoo of Mebane, NC, one step nephew, Deryl Anton McAdoo Moore of CT, four great neices; Tara Theresa Tate of Garner, NC, Colette Michelle McNeill (Brian) of Clayton, NC, Monique Denise McClain of Greensboro, NC, Marquita Mia Yancey (Jasmine) of Mebane, NC, three great nephews; Maurice Everett McClain, (Tyrika) of Greensboro, NC, Clarance Mebane of Mebane, NC, Marcus Fredrick Lewis McClain of Efland, NC, two great-great neices Kaylee Malia Royal of Mebane, NC and Harmony Mariah McClain of Efland, NC, two great-great nephews, Jayden Leo White of Greensboro, NC and Jordan Lewis White of Greensboro, NC.
Ms. Tate is also preceded in death by her husband Julius Fredrick Turntine, Sisters; Joyce Villines and June Carol Tate McAdoo, Brothers; James Tate and Jerry Tate, and a very special neice Felecia Gail Tate.
