Gordon Ray Woods

Gordon Ray Woods was born on November 22, 1952 in Alamance County to Deacon Sam Woods and Mrs. Alice Lemora Williams Woods.  He was married to Mary Graves Woods and was a driver with Piedmont Movers.  In his early years he was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and could be seen assisting with his wife and son with the Graves Family Care Home.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mary Graves Woods; seven children: Francis W. Watlington (Willie), Terrance M. Graves, Caldwell L. Graves (Jaqueline), Laverne B. Newman (Jessie), Taberius N. Graves, Anntoninette R. Graves and Michael J. Graves (Cherry); 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Fred Nathaniel Woods (Diana), David Woods (Debra), and Nancy Woods Holt; an aunt: Maggie W. Clay and a host of nieces & nephews, relatives and dear friends.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Sam E. Woods, James L. Woods, Alice W. Thrasher and Shirley Woods.
