Elton "Butti" Daye

Elton Daye “Butti”, 92 of 2650 William Allen Rd., passed away on December 29, 2018 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.   He was the son of the late Dutcher Daye and Malinda Chambers Daye, both deceased.  He was the wife of Thelma Beatrice Jones Daye.  

He is survived by his wife Thelma of the home;  six children: Earl Jones (Adrianne), Preston Jones (Janice), Tyson Daye, Angela Daye Richmond (Willie), Debbie Daye Price (Fred) and Teresa Gail Daye; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and two sisters: Erma Daye Poole and Sarah Daye Oliver. 

He was preceded in death by six siblings: Bennie Daye, Edward Daye, Hurley Daye, Bessie Gertrude Daye Walker, Bernice Daye Poole, Odarius Daye Poteat and Rose Daye Stanfield.
