Mr. Carl Matthew "Ben" Lea, Sr. age 66 of 1129 Sharpe Rd. Burlington, NC transitioned on November 13, 2017 while at Cone Health ARMC.  Ben as he was known by many is the son of the late Mr. Claude Herman Lea Sr. and Mrs. Pearlie Mae Blackwell Lea.

Ben was a 1969 graduate of Jordan Sellars High School and a member of Jeffries Cross Baptist Church where he served the Lord as an Usher.  He loved to hunt and due to this passion he was a member of the "Buck Hunting Club" in Caswell County.  Ben was employed for many years with Walter Kiddie.

The life and legacy of Mr. Carl "Ben" Lea Sr. will be forever cherished in the hearts and minds of his loving and devoted wife, Deborah "Sue" Parker Lea; two sons, Carl M. Lea Jr. and his wife Marry and Cedric L. Lea and his wife Deirdre; his twin brother, Claude H. "Quail Byrd" Lea Jr. and sister, Linda Lea Turner and her husband Keith along with three grandchildren, Tyon Morrow, Khalil Lea and Kendall Lea and many other family members and friends.
