Mr. Calvin Edward McCoy “Cabbage-Head”, 66 of transitioned on November 28, 2017 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.  He was born the son of Matthew June McCoy and Merle Clay McCoy both deceased.  He attended Jordan-Sellars High School and a Trustee of Morgantown Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife: Brenda Evans McCoy; three children: Taurus Wright, Shelia M. Robinson (Joseph) and DeShannon McCoy Williamson; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; step-daughter: Crystal Long (Antonio); two sisters: Alice Marie Enoch and Merlene Barnett and three sisters-in-law: Ollie M. McCoy, Annie McCoy and Cora McCoy.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild and brothers: Clarence McCoy, Perry McCoy, Thomas M. McCoy and Wade McCoy.
