Bessie Mae (Corbett) Graves

Mrs. Bessie Mae Corbett Graves age 84 of 245 Waterside Circle, transitioned on August 28, 2019 at her residence.  Mrs. Graves was born in Caswell County, NC to Mr. Zink Lee Corbett and Mrs. Julia Bell Corbett, both now deceased.  She was also the wife of the late Mr. Roosevelt Vick Graves.  Mrs. Bessie worked the land with her family for many years to provide for her family.

She was a member of Gethsemane Christian Church here in Burlington, NC.

Mrs. Graves is survived by two daughters, Minister Dorothy G. Enoch (Minister George) and Josette G. Burnette (Joey); one son, Curtis Robert Graves (Betty), one brother, Larry “Boot” Corbett (Lavern); 27 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, one son-in-law, Ira Crisp

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Crisp.
