Ms. Barbara Jean Carr Packingham, transitioned on January 03, 2018 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center. 

She was the daughter of George Andrew Carr, Sr. and Anna Lee Wilson Carr, both deceased.  She worked for Anadene Hosiery Mill and was a member of New Joy One Accord Holiness Church.  Barbara Jean loved life and believed in living it to the fullest.  She loved a good game of softball and sitting on somebody’s pond bank to catch a mess of fish.  She loved her family and enjoyed being around them.  She enjoyed cooking and sharing her love in her foods.    

Survivors include her children: Melissa A. Carr and Sedric Carr (Ellen); 2 grandchildren; 6 siblings: George Carr, Jr., Vernon Carr, David Carr (Patrice), Rose Carr, Angela Carr Leath (Walter “Tiger”) and Sherry Ann Foust.
