Mrs. Vera Covington Davis, 88 of 1011 Apple St. transitioned on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Liberty Commons Nursing Center.  She was the daughter of the late Mr.  Samuel Covington and the late Mrs. Minnie Corbett Covington. 

She was a retired Registered Nurse with Alamance County Hospital and a science teacher with Alamance-Burlington School System. 

She was preceded in death by her son Jonathan Davis and three brothers: Essue Covington, Benny Covington and Larry A. Covington.

Survivors include her husband: Edward J. Davis; sisters: Florine C. Pollard, Ivie Mae C. Benson, Nora C. Trollinger and Aquanetta Covington.
