Velma Ruth (Swepson) Coble

Mrs. Velma Ruth Swepson Coble of Mebane, transitioned on January 28, 2018.

She was the daughter of Eugene Swepson and Patti White Swepson and she was the wife of Walter Morrow Coble, all deceased.  She was a member of Hunter’s Chapel AME Church.

Survivors include her daughters: Hilda C. Jones, Patsy C. Walker (Danny) and Shirley C. Ray (Gregory); 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was the last survivor of her siblings: Carrie Mebane, Catherine Wade, Christine Wade, Robert Swepson, John Swepson, Pearl Adams and Nellie Cousin.

All other times they will be at her daughter Shirley’s home, 1025 Pleasant Dr., Mebane, NC 27302
