The Reverend Dr. Linda Wright 67, of 548 Baldwin Rd. transitioned at Cone Health-Alamance Regional Medical Center on August 11, 2017.

She was the daughter of Reverend Andy Wright, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Cornelia Morrow Wright, both deceased was as preceded in death by two brothers: Andy Wright, Jr. and Sam Wright.

Survivors include sisters: Patricia Wright Shelly (Clyde) and Elder Susie Wright Enoch (Timothy) and sister-in-law: Retha Gail Wright.

Rev. Dr. Wright was a 1968 graduate of Jordan-Sellars High School and attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Elon University and Alamance County Community College.  She received her Doctorate of Theology from Grace Valley Theological Seminary, Lubbock, Texas.
Rev. Dr. Wright was a devoted member of New Covenant United Holy Church for more than 42 years.  She served faithfully as an Associate Pastor, Past Choir Director, YPHA Director, Sunday School Instructor and Minister of Education.  She was the Director of Wright's Care-Alternative Services, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
