On the 20th of January 1982 Sharonda Michelle Russell-Goins arrived as a bundle of joy to Carolyn Jean Russell. Born with Sickle Cell Anemia, doctors gave her 6 months to live, but God had another plan for her life and she beat the odds of the professionals. She continued her education at NC A&T State University by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2004 and Criminal Justice in 2011.
In November 2011 Sharonda was united in marriage to her soulmate. A man sent by God Dontae Goins. Sharonda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend to all that knew her. More importantly, she made a point to let her children know they were loved and taught to know “Anything was possible, if they just try”.
