The Reverend Odell Walker, 92 of 1428 Lanier Ct. transitioned October 11, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center.  He was the son of the late Mr. Ephraim Walker and the late Mrs. Minnie Brown Walker.  He was a member of Graves Chapel Baptist Church.

Rev. Walker is survived by his wife: Lenora Clapp Walker; six children: James A. Walker (Gail), Odell Walker, Jr. (Connie), Henry Daniel Walker, Patricia Ann Walker, Frances Walker and Nancy Jean Walker; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Ebenezer Walker, Ephraim Walker, Jr., Andrew James Walker, Sarah Bell Rogers, Zenobia Walker Mebane, Mary Eliza Wilson, Louise Wilkins and Ethel Walker.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the J. V. & Lessie I. Sharpe Memorial Chapel with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the services and at other times the family will be at the home.  Public viewing will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 1-9pm.
