Mr. Nathaniel Vanhook, 72 of 329 Tryon St., transitioned in his home on June 2, 2017.

He was the son of H.E. Vanhook and Sallie Lou Stephens Vanhook both deceased. 

He is survived by his son: Marvin Vanhook (Dione); 3 grandchildren, DeKira Vanhook, DeAsia Vanhook and Specialist Antinia Graves (Mandrel) and a great-grandchild, Zahn Graves and six siblings: Bobby Vanhook, Melvin Vanhook, Ronnie Vanhook, Armellia White (David), Jeanette Jeffries and Linda Jones (Grelan) and one aunt, Hazel Vanhook. 

Mr. Vanhook was a retired professional truck driver and a US Army Veteran.  Mr. Vanhook served the Lord at Maple Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the Male Chorus.
