Mrs. Marie B. Sellars 85 of 1723 Morgantown Rd. transitioned on December 21, 2016 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. Sterling Gwynn and the late Mrs. Mable Stokes Blackwell.  She was married to the late Mr. John Washington Sellars, Sr. 

She is survived by her two children: John W. Sellars, Jr. and Dianne S. Williamson (Greg); two grandchildren, Lyndsye Sellars and John W. Sellars III (Lenise) and two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Jaxson Sellars.

She was a 1949 graduate of Jordan-Sellars High School and a retiree of AT&T Lucent Technologies.  She was a devoted member of Glen Raven First Baptist Church.
