Deacon Larry Evans 74, of 7867 NC Hwy 62 N, transitioned on January 9, 2017 at Peak Resources of Alamance.  He was the son of the late Mr. Wallace Atkins Evans and the late Mrs. Maude Terrell Evans.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Burwell Evans; four children: Dava Evans, Dana Evans, Teresa Core and Michael Watson (Cothene); 5 grandchildren: Brynne Evans, Shakura Evans, Javari Moore Evans, Maiya Burnette and Catina Bethea (Marvin); 4 great-grandchildren: Kameron Whitest, Kassidy Price, Jaylon Bethea and Trey Bethea; three siblings: Bruce Evans (Willie Mae), Gaynell Owens and Mildred Johnson (Joe) and sister-in-law: Ramola Evans.  

He was preceded in death by siblings: George Evans, Walter Evans, Donald Evans, Mary Elizabeth Thompson, Lillie Pearl Coble and Daisy Morrow.
