Mrs. Katherine Tinnin Crompton, of 431 Hatch St., 88 transitioned at Liberty Commons Nursing Home on October 12, 2016.

 She was the daughter of the late Mr. Arthur Tinnin and the late Mrs. Lucille Morrow Tinnin.

Survivor include her husband: Mr. Eugene Crompton; three daughters: Jean C. Tate, Judy C. Burnette (Waldo) and Janice C. McDowell (Rev. Edward).

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Crompton. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Maple Grove Baptist Church, with the family greeting friends an hour prior to the services. All other times the family will be at the home.   Interment will follow the services in North Lawn Cemetery.   Public viewing will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 1-9pm.
