Mrs. Julia Mae Hester, age 100 was born on December 25, 1916 in Caswell County.  She was the daughter of Willie and Lillian Richmond both deceased.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Hester, son; Lawrence E. Hester and sister, Marie Smith.  On Thursday November 2, 2017, God Sent His angel to carry our beloved one home.  She was a long-standing member of Allen’s Chapel Baptist Church and sang in the Senior Choir.  She enjoyed attending Piedmont Heath Senior Care.

Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Joyce Satterfield of the home; Marian Burnette (Dennis) of Graham, NC; son, Samuel Leon Hester (Annie) of Mebane, NC; daughter-in-law, Hilda “Dobie” Hester of Mebane, NC; granddaughters, Angella “Angie” Hester, Tamara “Tammy” Wade (Kevin).  Grandsons, Rodney Burnette (Tasho); Jarmard Hester; Daniel Hester; Garrick Turner (Tracey); Tony Yellock: Darrick Eason (Karen); Christopher Eason and 25 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Lucy H. Cearnal and Mable H. Pinnix along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
