Evelyn Gilliam Fowler was born June 23, 1924 in Warrenton, Georgia to the late Joe and Lessie Myrick Gilliam.  After a long and productive life of 92 years she transitioned from earth to Glory on Friday, November 4, 2016.

            She moved to Alamance County with many of her family member during a textile relocation from Georgia.  It was here that she made her long lasting home.  She met and married the love of her life, Mr. Robert Fowler and the two were blessed with a loving and caring daughter, Angelette.  Mrs. Fowler was a devoted and long standing member of First Baptist Church.  During her tenure, she dedicated her time and talents to several ministries within the church including: The Chancellor Choir, Board of Christian Education, Leading by Feeding Ministry, Sister to Sister Ministry, Missionary Society and Kitchen Ministry.  Her love for others has been was evident and was well shown to her as well.

            She will be remembered and cherished in the hearts of her daughter: Angelette Fowler Gore (Allen); grandchildren: Alexis, Antonia, Adrian, Alana and Tony II as well as many dear nieces, nephew’s other relatives and dear friends. 

            She now joins her parents, husband and granddaughter Angel Gore Crnalic…. what a joyous reunion.
