Mrs. Carrie Bell Mintz Graves was born on April 18, 1927 in Sumpter, South Carolina to the late Willie Mintz and the late Ollie Birdgman Mintz.  She departed this life and began eternal life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.  She was 89 years old.

Mrs. Graves was married to the late Johnny O’Dean Graves and this union was blessed with 4 wonderful sons.  She was a member of Rock Creek African Methodist Episcopal Church and served with the Missionary Society and sang with the Senior Choir.  She was a talented musician, playing the Acoustic Guitar.

She is survived by her sons: Roger O. Graves (Lisa), Theodore Graves (Bobbie Jean) and Clifton Graves (Felisia); 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; a brother Benjamin F. Mintz; 3 sisters: Eula M. Swann, Betty L. Scott and Mary E. Ennon along with a host of other relatives and friends.

She now joins her parents, husband, a son Clyde Donnell Graves and siblings: Luther, John Wesley, Henry Clay Mintz, Robert Mintz and Alberta Mintz.  What a heavenly reunion.
