Mr. Billy Lee Torain, Sr. 74 beloved husband of Mrs. Brenda Hazell Torain, transitioned on July 19, 2017 at the Alamance Health Care Center.  

He  was the son of Nora Lou Torain Daniels.  

His survivors include: his loving wife: Brenda H. Torain: 8 children: Bonnie Bailey, Billy Torian, Jr., Sharon Torain-Watlington, Kimberly Torain, Roderick Long, Denise Jeffries, Sharon Randolph and Kitsila Leath Boyd; 19 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren: 8 siblings: Leon Cotton, Reid Daniels, Lucille Currie, Ida Patterson, Charlese Markley, Evonne Williams, Odessa Bynum and Alveta Simpson.  

He was a member of Ebenezer Untied Church of Christ where he sang with the Male Chorus, Couples Ministry and the Culinary Ministry.  He was featured in the Burlington Times-News as the "Waving-Man" for his friendly deamonir for waving at passers by as he worked in his yard.
